> If there was a college course on the history of modern metal this album is deserving of at least one chapter and 2-3 questions on the final. It's been almost 15 years since it was released but I'll still find myself listening to it at least once or twice per month. Don't see that changing anytime soon either. Love this shit.

It's kinda like choosing between two super models. Onset Of Putrefaction is just as powerful and influential but I've got to rate it slightly lower because Suiçmez used a drum machine on the album. Maybe I'm being picky but if I'm picking a favorite...

I slightly prefer Onset, but this is amazing too.

On the remastered version that has Hannes' drum machine inputs, it barely sounds like a drum machine at all. So it doesn't get distracting in any way for me

Tbh I didn't even notice it was a drum machine

But also Catch 33 is one of my favorite albums so I guess I'm kinda cool with drum machines?
