I didn't really like any of the singles to start, but some of them grew on me after double digit listens. Thinking the album might be a grower in the same vein, but I hate it has to be that way.

yeah i just think this is their best flowing and cohesive record. i know everybody loves otip to death and i really like that album but its got a few pitfalls that completely fuck up the flow and will permanently keep it from the top spot. will forever stand by that ava house is one of their worst cuts and drags the momentum to a complete halt
after the party you have a better argument but i think bad catholics is kind of annoying and a precursor to some of the stuff i dont like about the new album. also this album gets points for having by far their best album closer

They definitely sound the most "fun" on After the Party. And as repetitive as Bad Catholics' chorus might be, they still knock it out of the park with the storytelling. Nobody else could have written those lyrics.
Ava House never really bothered me much, but I find it the most difficult to rate for exactly that reason. The fact that it has the same effect in a live setting (completely killed the adrenaline during their 10 year anniversary show), does NOT do it any favors.
