Am I the only one that can't stand Monsters in the Parasol? Album is pretty awesome otherwise. I Think I Lost My Headache is underrated
|
| |
Yeah I always thought Monsters is one of the worst tracks only because of the chorus. Everything else in that song is awesome, but I cannot stand how the dissonant sounding the music and vocals are in the chorus together.
Headache is amazing (easily one of my favs) but that fucking ending with the trumpets is the worst thing ever. It's so unbearable I edited it out on my mp3.

Yeah great song but such an unnecessary extended outro, I never listen to that bit.

Monsters in the Parasol is bad until you see the music video and then it's the best thing ever
|
| |
it was never bad

In the Fade is the best song ever.
|

Absolutely, gotta love the amazing mark lanegan vocals. Like clockwork gives this a run for its money for sure, probably tied for my fave qotsa.

I Appear Missing is my favorite.
I haven't heard this album in full yet

The ending solo is the best QOTSA solo ever
|
| |
The nick oliveri songs are usually the ones i spin the most ahah, love his vocals. Quick and to the pointless, tension head and auto pilot, what a trio.

Best mainstream rock band of the past fifteen years. It's no contest. No other band is even close.

idk if I would call them mainstream, they are still hard rock at heart

In this day and age I'd say they count as mainstream, given the lack of attention rock music in general receives.
