I've always liked Demigod, very nostalgic.
But I recognise the vocal layering is absurd haha.

i still like the latest two but it's venturing too much into what i'd expect to hear from dimmu borgir and its likes

evangelion is better than demigod and apostasy, agreed

Evangelion felt like a tired rehash of it's predecessors agreed. The Satanist was a very refreshing release for Behemoth and i'm not exactly sure how they were supposed to top that, but this wasn't it

Behemoth should go full epic with their next LP, the grandiose builds/outros on some tracks here are just too good.
Catholica is probably my new favourite Behemoth track, that outro in particular is just ahhhhhh.

Is the Bartzabel video anti Muslim ? Legit question , wondering what people think. Logic: behemoth obv hates religion , music starts out with clear depictions of the 2 major religions. The first is a cartoonish depiction of a “pope” that simultaneously looks like a kkk member, an apt critique. While the latter is missing the same type of aesthetic sacrilege, it’s just a woman in a burka. The assumption here is that even in the eyes of an “edgy god hating atheist” the Muslim faith is inferior.
Then, the burka’d women are exposed from the neck down. Nothing special here. Depicting the most devout as whores. But behemoth goes a step further. They depict a small feminine man in basically a dress ,dancing mindlessly. Spinning and spinning like a toy. Meanwhile, the band stands strong and tall in sacrilegious Christian garb.
And it makes sense, behemoth is catering to a European audience. Metal gives you more artistic freedom , and so there’s less reason for people to take notice or offense. “Why would anyone get offended by behemoth? That’s their brand.”
I’m an atheist btw and family is catholic. So I ultimately give 0 fucks.

And ultimately the “men” of the Muslim faith are subverted. Just as the naked women who eventually demonstrate their subversion with their hand signs. They depict a heart near their vaginas. The man also is subverted. He changed the direction of his pointed fingers from up to down at the end of the video. His faith is broken just as the women who were made whores. The Muslim faith is bankrupt. Meanwhile Behemoth upholds the Christian religion by dressing up in their garbs, tall, mightily , like Gods. It’s all a ruse. Behemoth capitalizes on anti religion but ultimately maintain the status quo. Even being a satanist is in an of itself an admittance of believing in religion. And this is true because they consider themselves Satanists , not Levayen Satanists who don’t actually believe in a real god or satan. Satanists are devil worshippers , and that implies that Satan is real in the first place.
