The slow songs suck and the heavy songs are satisfying. I doubt I'll ever listen to this all the way through again but at least I've got a few good new Underoath songs for playlists I guess.

Some interesting stuff going on, but it looks like I'll be sticking to my hardcore/punk for the next decade.

Sad that I was expecting another DTGL, but this is kind of disappointing. Great to hear some of Dudley in most of the tracks, but the song structures are meh. Too hooky and lyrically meh.

Great review dude.

I went to this (without reading it) and started getting ready to give this shit something between 2 an 2.5, thinking this shouldn't exist...then i kind of liked (?) sink with you, ihateit, Hold your breath, No frame, with more "non david getta" electronics, more experimental and creative...the ending track is cool to. still figuring the rate but won't be less than a 3.

wake me and rapture are the only actually bad songs here imo (ihateit would be too if not for that killer bridge thats unfortunately also the heaviest moment on the whole album). everything else hovers somewhere between a 3 and a 3.5, except no frame bloodlust and hold your breath which i thought were the clear high points (especially no frame). in motion is cool too

Got the target edition of the CD with the bonus tracks and they are truly haunting and awesome. If you wanted more screams those 2 have them somewhat.

Also I honestly enjoy wake me. It has a simplistic melodic prowess that sounds great.

"wake me and rapture are the only actually bad songs here imo"

Also situated on the bland and uninspired part of the album for me...

Are the bonus tracks better than anything on the actual album?

ihateit sounds like a Cove-era Saosin b-side. I actually like that one more than the other songs, though the stretch from ihateit to No Frame is stronger than the rest of the album in my opinion.

This shit is pretty lame overall though.
