The Legacy's alright. Fallen Angels is an occasional jam. I haven't really checked in since STWOF except for uh, the 8 minute one on here.

I can’t really stand anything from their debut. The Legacy is fire, In the End too. I also like New Religion, God Bless You, Love isn’t always fair, I am Bulletproof, Shadows Die, Days are Numbered, Heart of Fire, Last Rites , Stolen Omen and Crown of Thorns

Honestly, I've tried to listen to these guys' entire discography to get a sense of why people hate them so much. Imo, pretty much their entire body of work is a solid, consistent 2.5/5. Nothing terrible, just average meat-and-potatoes radio metal with a few nice riffs and harmonies here and there. I can't say I understand either the insane fandom or the utter hatred of the band, really

they don't even have gross meathead lyrics like Nickelback or idiotic faux-tough guy stuff like Disturbed/FFDP. it's just super vanilla Hot Topic us-against-the-world-but-the-world-would-rather-just-ignore-us stuff.

Much like the intense hate people used to direct toward A7X, I feel like the intense backlash toward these guys has more to do with image and aesthetic than the actual music itself. Not saying the music is great by any means, but the whole scene thing is probably a bigger reason for the hate

IMHO, BVB's first two albums are absolutely god awful. They got a lot better in Wretched and Divine, IV, and here.

Soccer's on point. I dated a girl whose two favorite bands were/probably still are A7X and BVB. it was hard to understand and harder to deal with the haughty we're-special-because-we're-weird aesthetic that goes on with the fanbase. like if you criticize them, you're part of the brainless masses who are afraid to like something different, when the whole fandom is built on clinging to one another for moral support. it's just cringey and off-putting. but yeah, the music is whatever. good musicianship, uninventive songs, cliche lyrics, nothing I have strong feelings about.
