Nah there isn't a bad song here, and I really like Citizen. Do you not have any love for Closer?

Closer rips too. I've really been digging this more and more.

closer rules but it’s not the kind of song on here i prefer (more into stuff like golgotha and pompeii than stuff like closer and cut and run). still a top tier song tho
new white extremity is prob my fav tho, esp after seeing it live

Cut and Run chorus reminds me of Backwards by Quicksand

quicksand are a band ive been meaning to get into for a while, especially since they just dropped something too

they actually meant to drop it in albini's trashcan kek

The new one is good but I’d check their first two first. Slip has a very grunge vibe and Manic Compression has more in the way of chaotic drumming and 90s post-hardcore riffs.

This album makes a helluva lot more sense on the third spin

after the initial "holy shit a new glassjaw record this is amazing" thing i went through, I think this will solidly fit between a 3.5-4 for me.

Once Pompeii really gets going, I get early ETID vibes - the bands have always had somewhat similar vibes, but feel it there for sure

Nice deftones album

cut and run actually does sound like it could be a deftones song lol, but the rest sounds like glassjaw to me.

Yeah, Cut and Run sounds like Diamond Eyes for some reason.
Also lol, Fantano? The guy is basically Pitchfork in human form.

fun facts:
"Shira" is the name of Beck's daughter born in 2015
"Citizen" was originally recorded during W&T sessions under the name "Neo Tokyon" (and was twice as long in runtime)
"Golgotha" was called "Metal" at live shows in the months leading up to the release of MC
"Bastille Day" features percussion by former gj bassist Ariel Telford (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang)
"Pompeii" features Mind Over Matter vocalist George Reynolds, and used to be called "Post Apocalyptic"
"My Conscience Weighs a Ton" working title was "Abigados"
the more you know ...

lol elaborate?

"lol elaborate?"
"If it sounds remotely like any music that's been made before throughout the course of human existence, it's derivative and generic, so I'm feeling a strong 5 to a light 6.
If it doesn't even sound like music, its Death Grips, so I love it."
Alt-thony Rightano
His actual reviews though, they're no different than Jeremy Jahns or Chris Stuckman.

This album is growing on me but I will stick with the 4.5 rating because of dull tracks like bastille day and material control.

Anthony is pretty idiotic lol. Glassjaw have had their own style since worship and tribute.
