Had this weird relationship to their music since at least citadel came out. Always really enjoyed their more mellow sections, especially the bass and violin playing, but the production, especially in the loud moments, the busy-ness and the drums and especially the vocals always kinda put me off.
Like I really want to fully vibe with their style and I do enjoy sections, but not the whole sound. Very weird band for me.

last i saw NeO was with Black Crown Initiate at a now-defunct venue in my city and Xenoyr had blown his voice out so NeO played almost entirely instrumental, with the BCI vocalist doing vocals for one song in NeO's set. still was great because i did get to see Daniel Presland on the kit (unforgettable) but THIS IS MY CHANCE AT REDEMPTION

i checked them out when that tour was announced those years ago and couldn't get into it. just felt like they were too derivative. maybe its time for another try.

I hate last 2 songs of this record but rest of the songs are actually their best imo, Eyrie is excellent. Could've been their best so far
