New album is amazing! A bit more varied and a bit of a grower for them imo.

Currently on 'Sunless Empire' right now off the new album. Absolutely loving it so far. If it keeps this pace throughout, I'm probably going to 5 it.

I know some people get burnt out on TBDM constantly producing 'the same sound'. But man, bringing Brandon Ellis into the fold has given them a new dynamic that they lacked since 'Nocturnal'.

The solo on this track... Jesus Christ.

This album is shaping up to be a great one.

Some of the songs off Verminous are top-shelf TBDM songs, while others sound like lame b-sides. Hmm. Verdict pending.

I ended up giving it a 4.5

It's hard for me to 5 albums that just release since I don't know how I'll feel about them as they age.

But 'Verminous' is definitely a perfect followup to 'Nightbringers'. What I like most about the new one is that they followed through on allowing Brandon Ellis to flesh his style out and allow him to be a huge part of the new record, as opposed to having to rely on Trevor for yet another album. I can see why he and the rest of the band would be worried about losing him at some point, as he's emerged into one of the best young, modern guitarists that I've discovered in recent memory. His solos on 'Verminous' are absolute God tier.

'The Wereworm's Feast' is easily the best track on the album, following through on the band's claim that there's a more evolved and dynamic sound expanded upon than on previous releases. Trevor uses a very different vocal approach on this song, and then Ellis' guitar work, especially the solos, are insanely good.

Very happy with what they did on the new album.

Wow, honestly I thought the singles were fine, but the overall quality and song-writing on Verminous is pretty incredible

Even Trevor mixes up his vox a bit more than usual, songs like The Wereworm's Feast channels an almost non-shrieking Dani Filth vibe. I'm diggin it
