"I knew you'd get it, sir."

Thank you, sir! I appreciate your appreciation of this record as well, sir.

"The Way of All Flesh is still my favorite by these guys but this is a close second."

I find TWOAF gets a little same-y pretty fast, while I find this to be more fresh the whole way through. Mars to Sirius is still my favorite Gojira.

I like the consistency, but that's mostly because the album is perfectly produced and I didn't mind that feeling as much.

The variety on here is pretty nice but it's also a bit inconsistent which is why it's just barely below TWOAF for me.

There's some repetitiveness to the song structures on Sirius too, but I think there's greater variety there than on TWOAF. I still quite dig TWOAF, but I can basically take just Ouroboros and Toxic Garbage Island and feel content with the listening experience on that one.

Toxic Garbage Island is sensual to our ears agreed.

It was criminal of me to forget, I concede. Haven't listened to that album in a while, might jam soon.

Ive always loved the hidden track of ominous heavily reverberated chugging, ive been known to loop it for like bloody 7 hours when i've been studying

The chugs on TWOAF are soooo good when they come in. Whole album sounds like a 5 star steak.

Randy Blythe's contribution in Adoration for None is pretty savage, probably the most death metal song on TWOAF

Still not sure how I feel about this so the rating could change, it's good though. I appreciate the atmosphere and the whole vibe of the album, the metal sections just seem sub par though for what Gojira usually does.

Their riffs are just the amount of technical usually to where I come away thinking "damn that was cool", this doesn't give me that reaction. They usually throw something crazy in with the drums or a harmonic, or a pick slide or something to make it sound crazy but here its pretty straight forward riffing throughout.
