Ocean - maybe, he might surprise you, but he needs to know the boys have their stripes. They aren't wet willies.

As indeed does Grohl for being in Nirvana (Foos are largely dreck of course sadly)

How anyone can't at least enjoy the drumming here I don't know....

I certainly wouldn't count this as a proper attempt at Kyuss or Queens but I came out pretty convinced that it wasn't worth bothering given how much other music there is out there.

I'm just surprised that you enjoy this kind of cock rock

'Surprised you enjoy...cock rock'

Queens are almost as ubiquitous as Nirvana, if someone likes rock music they'll probably quite like the band at the very least

Well I don't like Nirvana much either so I guess it makes sense.

cock rock seems like a bit of a mischaracterization but none of this band's music is actually as good as kyuss

Based on the songs I heard this band wants too much to be a pop rock band but they're unwilling to sacrifice their manliness and so split the difference and ended up with the worst of both.

probably a borderline accurate interpretation of their records since this one

They abandon pretty much all manliness on "Mosquito Song," gorgeous acoustic number that. Far more melancholic in tone, too.

theBoneyKing just sounds like a contrarian to me.

"I think once you realise Josh and Nick can rock like desert hogs but are choosing to make a fake bastardised radio rock album with lots of guitar pop songs on it then it'll make more sense."

holy shit new favourite user.

boney is not a contrarian – he just has his own taste and this is not it.

I'll be honest I'm being a bit contrarian right now.
