I think Let’s Go Away for Awhile might actually be the best song ever made

Don't Talk is probably second best on the album, didn't really hit for me until I started to really listen (as Brian implores us) to the subtleties in the string arrangements. but Let's Go Away for Awhile is just untouchable

god only knows and don't talk are my favs here. caroline no is also super good

Been having the biggest soft spot for I'm Waiting for the Day for a long while. Wouldn't call it my fav as it's really tough but definitely a contender, I looove how it feels like a little journey

Wow, surprised to see so many people saying that. I love it too of course but it's definitely not one of the best on the album for me. My favourites are Wouldn't It Be Nice, Don't Talk, Let's Go Away for Awhile (best song ever), God Only Knows and I Just Wasn't Made for These Times

"Let's Go Away for Awhile (best song ever)"
The 60s lounge/elevator muzak song? You're an odd fellow.

the one that has a vague bossa nova influence for the first like 15 seconds and then shifts into some of the most beautiful chord progressions, string arrangements and compositional qualities ever, masterfully implementing a feeling of tension and release and building in a way that creates a captivating sense of progression and movement while still consistently reflecting the sense of yearning and passion that the entire album is built to reflect yeah

@sandwich by describing such a complex piece in such a reductive way you are proving your immensely superior knowledge of music and everyone is in awe of you right now

Wouldn't It Be Nice has the most replay value. Never gets old.
I'm Waiting for the Day is the perfect blend of melancholic and romantic. My personal favorite.
Too many gems here to nit pick at each other's favorites though. Bottom line is we're all here talking about this for the same reason; it's practically flawless pop.

@Colton If I was trying to prove something like that, I wouldn't have this at a 5.0.
I'm just as basic as all of you, sorry to say.
"it's practically flawless pop."
