Hawks, please check that album. Don't let this sway you otherwise. There's a lot less going on and it is for the best.

That part in "unlikely event" around 4:30 is one of the most beautiful things ever.

Gerrymandering is the best track here tho.

I'll check it. This one was super underwhelming and my first experience with these guys.

If you listen chronologically and make your way back to this one, I think this will click more.

Will do. I'm just busy with other post-metal like Neurosis, Isis, CoL, Locktender, etc

I'm not sure Intronaut's even post-metal anymore. There's not much in the way of slow builds and structural evolution like those other bands...they're more like The Ocean, I think.

I guess they're the opposite of what other bands do. Most of them start off as mainly sludge and then evolve into post metal, lol

These guys have never struck me as post-metal honestly.

yeah, they've flirted with it on songs like Any Port, Fault Lines, and Nostalgic Echo (my personal favorite song of theirs) but overall they're something else. Sludge? Progressive? Not sure it's named yet.

I'm excited to listen to this. I like bands that can't be easily classified, lol.
