Birth pains of astral projection is one of the few maudlin songs I really dig

And now I understand Johnny's username. I always thought it was like some hideously deformed creature crawling out of a well to attack the town's folk

I might have started this trek following the wrong order and that's alright.

'never realised his username is a ref to this'

What? I didn't realise there were people who didn't realise his name is clearly a ref to this band, maybe I just know him better. I should probably stop stalking him.

Also this/LYBM are better off not being defined by genre constraints, they just are - we don't need a dissection of what % of this is metal, or indeed the prominent and easily distinguishable genre of 'non-metal' (and no, this ain't 'indie' DDD). This is constructed beautifully and works remarkably well despite the considerable scope and ambition. Having said that I definitely prefer the Bath side for the standout moments. If I'm listening to 'one half' then I tend to veer in that direction.

Yeah probably come back to Bath more often for the mystical strangeness

Body’s great ofc but it sounds a lil more grounded and doesn’t send me floating down the river

That’s what good indie does

I like Bodies a bit more but both albums are great. Wish I could spice them.

Edit: I mean, spice myself.
