Ok. Now that Ive read everybodys comments. Took about three hours... But thats mostly cause Im a slow reader so I can understand what everyone is saying, and then I had to listen to that radio clip of them talking about the chili's copying petty. But my thoughts are so what. Dont be a homosexual because they made your song better.

Alright, I think Stadium Arcadium kicks a**. The songs that stuck to me on my first listening was Snows intro, and then the nice bass line. She's Only 18 I loved as soon as the bass intro started. Tortue Me I loved. Kinda reminded me of the Around the World intro... but just the way in started. Especially In Michigan was pretty titties. I love Wet Sand but for some reason the intro makes me think of the intro to Napoleon Dynamite. Which is very odd considering that they sound nothing alike.

Now with Mars... I know that not very many people liked the acoustic or slower songs but I think they are quite nice. But I will admit that at first I didnt like them. Cause ya hear from Flea that its the old retarded funk, (I may of misquoted him but you know what he said) So Im getting all excited cause I really loved the BSSM record. And all things before it. And then you get these songs and its like, "What the f***?" Not what you expected. But like most people, the more you listen to it the more you start to like it.

Part 2

So for that side the ones that stood out were Tell Me Baby, Hard To Concentrate, Readymade. And why do some people not like Readymade??? I thought it was pretty good. My second thought was it was like a faster Suck My Kiss. But that was mostly because the bass and the guitar were playing the same notes at the same time. Next song I liked was Storm In A Teacup ofcourse. How could you not like that song. And then I saw that the last song on there is Death Of A Martian... And my thoughts are oh, that sucks. Because I know that Martian was Flea's dog that was there when the Chilis recorded Cali and BTW.
So my rating for this record is a 4. And my thoughts on this is... if this your first chili pepper album that you listen to. And you Love every song. You more than likely arent gonna like their early work.
And to the people who talk about how different this is from BSSM. I know how you feel. You wish it was still 91. ... My thoughts on how Stadium Arcadium ranks with the other albums will probably be from 9 to 1, 1 being the highest.
9: One Hot Minute. sorry everyone but that was the lowest point in my book. 8: The Red Hot Chili Peppers. but I think thats only cause it was their first record. And they had yet to find their sound. 7: The Uplift Mofo Party Plan. And thats only because I think Freaky Styley was a better record that UMPP. 6:Freaky Styley. 5: By The Way. It had some good tunes but just didnt sound like everything should be there. My fav. one on there was Dont Forget Me. 4: Mother's Milk. Their first album with Frusciante. And I think it came out nice. 3: Stadium Arcadium: I dont think it gets that energy that I was looking for after BSSM and Cali. 2: Californication. After coming from a massive suck with One Hot Minute and having John come back with this incredible feel with the guitar making everyone else play better. And last but not least. 1: Blood Sugar Sex Magik. I almost feel that it is our fault that they dont sound like that now. They would still be wanting. Oh well. Sorry for writing so much. I disagree with how you ranked some of the albums. I think that Stadium Arcadium is one of their worst and the bands s/t debut is probably my favorite Chili's record. After BSSM the Chili Peppers slowly starting to gradually lose there heavy funk influence.

i hate videos in general, music isn't meant for tv unless its a live performance. music videos just make you hate songs instead of like them.

I would like videos if they actually played the good ones. But, I guess they arent doing much of that anymore.

Oh yeah. I agree with you about them gradually losing their essence of funk. Which is sad but once Blood Sugar came out many bands started coming out trying to copy what they had. And then it started getting played out. early 90's I never heard some many bass players start slapping their bass. And then it really got old when you were hearing it for arcade games. So the chilis had to reinvent themselves when it came to Californication.
Well, thats all I have to say at the moment.
