I'll check Vokuro again. I like It's So Quiet. It's just so Bjork it's hard not be charmed by it for me

Debut has too much nostalgia attached for me to demote it much. I bought the CD as a teen and it started something magical. One of the few albums I find it hard to realign my thoughts on because I just get feelings of wholesomeness immediately

Medulla is like a straight 50/50 between the most disarmingly gorgeous and hair-tearingly irritating Bjork moments, and I've gradually grown to dig it for sheer artwank chutzpah rather than fret over one ends and the other begins

Med is one of those albums that I admire and am in awe of but I don't really want to ever experience.
Demon no one will ever shame you for your love of Debut here.

Med improved when I last checked. Honestly thought it was absolute nonsense back when we first heard it, lol. Now, it’s uneven but has grown on me.
Cheers art ☺️

My tolerance for annoying stuff is maybe higher than most, but I like the annoying moments too lol
Like yeah Triumph of the Heart is kinda stupid, but yay

POST is a great album but it's also incredibly overrated in the context of her oeuvre. Both things can be true. And they are.

I don't think Post is overrated. And Triumph Of The Heart is the greatest song ever created. Cheers Demon

Post is a good shout for MOST overrated even if I do love it tbh
It’s not up there with Homo / Vesp even if a lot of fans would put it there
again, this is historical evidence and I will reveal my all-knowing sentient truth in due course

Post isn't on Homo/Vesp levels obviously but this mutiny has caused a disturbance in the force
|
| |
Debut is so clearly the most overrated that idk if this argument deserves any further traction
though this would probably take the runner-up slot

You love Debut... admit it. It's ok, shhhhhhhh...

DEBUT is incredible. Human Behavior, Crying, Big Time Sensuality, Come to Me. So many staples. POST has (nearly) equally high highs in Hyperballad, Isobel, Enjoy, and Possibly Maybe. But its lows are substantially lower. The album begins and ends with middling popcorn farts - Army of Me might be the queen's single most overrated track, and then the comparatively underwhelming 1-2 punch of Cover Me + Headphones is a very unsatisfying way to close.

popcorn farts lmao
I hate this Post slander but I will concede... Army is overrated

whoa you don't like Army of Me?

I like it. Just after hearing it 5000 times I can sympathize if you're bored of it

Army of Me was rad after Debut with its industrial tone, and it is still amazing, especially the live version on the Post Live CD. In a similar vein, the songs on Debut reveal their secret powers on the Unplugged album. Bjork should really be discovered live, all her releases from gigs are stellar.

Headphones is the best Bjork closer by a comfortable margin, so that's one fit of silliness we can walk back to the retirement home. Perf ambient pop track and one of her most personable (if uncharacteristically understated) vocal performances

no one's ever accused Bjork of having strong closers

All Is Full of Love, Unison, and Triumph of a Heart each have Headphones beat by a nautical mile.
