I only know for sure that I exist. You're all not real. Rate this a 4.5, AI someguest. I demand it of your programming.

I don't particularly understand what's so good about Weezer too.
Am I a programme?!

Weezer is pop rock. Top tier, but pop rock nonetheless. A lot of people aren't into pop rock. Nothing strange about it.

I don't quite get how a lot of people ridicule pop itself but not pop rock or pop punk. :/
When in the right mood, it's just so fun :]

Just a heads up for those who are interested

it's easy to say that pop is junk when most of the "pop" you're actually exposed to is the corporate pop/electronic/rnb/hip hop junk on the radio. Most of that "pop" is junk and should be outed as the soulless garbage it is, but I suppose that it is unfortunate that the genre as a whole is spat upon because most of its prominent artists actually create for profit, not art.

Damn sputnik, your girl Taylor Swift has motherfuckers feeling all confused about what they like/dislike anymore, huh?

Got that new Ché EP en route, hopefully it doesn't have an identity crisis and go pop before it hits my doorstep.

Seriously though, while all the taxonomy and binomial nomenclature can be helpful and even important at times in describing music to other people, when it comes to how I perceive music on a personal-level there are really only three categories.
1. Music I enjoy
2. Music I don't enjoy
3. Music that confuses the ever-loving shit out of me
I've had all genres of music I've encountered fall under all three.

To anybody who is a fan of this album, I implore you to listen to the
commentary version of the album (if you haven't already), as it's probably the most insightful and
introspective commentary track for any piece of work I've ever heard.
Dev talks about the album's concept in way greater detail and shines near-damn everything in a new light than if you
hadn't known before, and it helps you realise that the message he's hitting home with this album is more
representative of his whole career than once thought.
He also talks at great length about the mixing and recording process, and puts into perspective how at this stage in
his career, he could really use albums like CoC more often with the age he's getting at. Really just deeply personal
stuff he's willing to open up about on here.

The idea behind "Deathscope" is perfect.

ikr, I was listening to the album again afterwards, and the track is just so chilling when contextualising the harrowing atmosphere of it all. By far one of the greatest stories ever told in music.

I had no idea about concept behind The Field though. It makes it all the more genius now that i've heard the commentary

It definitely isn't shit like most concept album concepts are (It is pretty much a retelling of the story of the siren).
