This isn't a structured 'band' this is the sound of lost souls put down on record.

I'm probably just not a good person to talk to about club music unless its trance or prog-house :p

My favorite band even though they just managed to bring out two albums.

Fav Album: Closer Fav Song: Decades

There is a whole drama in this album... in the beginning Ian Curtis is in some songs still trying to be a man with his situation and thinks he will somehow handle this big depression he lets the world know about.... then later the album he gets more down to it and realizes there is nothing he can do with it, finally he fantasizes about what his depression feels like over the course of one day, the eternity and finally over the course of his life.

After having done it the attentive listener actually sees it as a kind of glorification for him to even commit suicide. There was in the sense when he would be only the character he symbolizes in he album, no other way to get around killing himself. Him committing suicide is the take on the last chapter of Joy Divisions work. It was finalized with it.

Unfortuantely a human being is way more than just a "protagonist of a good story". It doesnt matter how good that story is or how beautiful it is.
