Zealots is so good and such a unique song. No Exit is def the darkest sounding one which works so well

Can't sleep...
Has anyone read the script? I read it along with the album last time (although not at the recommended speed... took me about 2 hours to finish the whole script, the album had long finished). Really does add to the narrative.

conditionals peep my review I talk a bit about the script/album relationship. and I read the script almost as fast as the album took but some songs finished before I could finish the intended "song chapter" yknow. I think it's absolutely brilliant and it's a key reason why this is one of my favorite albums. I have it on vinyl and it came with the screenplay, love chilling and reading the script to the album

Cool, didn't know you had a review. I'll check it out!
I love propping the vinyl cover up on my desk when I'm listening to it. Shiny Donald just sits there staring into my soul, nonchalantly judging my life choices.

This album and Awaken My Love are so much better than the rest of his work that it makes camp and everything before it practically irrelevant.

other than some select songs that's pretty accurate

I haven't listened to Camp for ages. I bought the vinyl reissue last month but haven't been eager enough to jump back in. There are for sure some great tracks on it though.
Awaken, My Love! is OK. It's definitely a fun jam to throw on, and it's also the album that has introduced some of my non-musichead friends to him. It's just... the talent. The talent he has with words. It's gone to waste. I also find Ludwig's soundscapes to be much more interesting when he's doing hip hop.

Other than Stand Tall I agree it wasn't as great lyrically...especially Zombies like what was that. BTI will probably always be my favorite of his

I thought the lyrics all over Awaken, My Love! were excellent, just of a different style to BTI. They were intentionally absurd and silly at some points, but it fit the aesthetic well.
Just found U Don't Have to Call again. God, that song is too short, but it's three minutes of absolute bliss. I hope he returns to that super minimal, super light hip hop sometime soon.

I really enjoyed the sentiment of his lyrics but I just prefer this style of lyrics from him rather than Awaken...dont get me wrong though I have that at a 4.5

Camp has a few of Bino's best tracks but a lot of middle of the road stuff too

No actually Awaken My Love had a lot of clever lyrical turns. I like 'Baby Boy'. I just mean that he has the capacity to just completely dominate the narrative of a song when he lets fly.
Anyway I doubt he'll return to hip hop again. I'd hedge my bets on that collab with Chance being straight up singing.

At this point I don't wanna hear Chance's obnoxious ass on a track with Bino anymore. Maybe Acid Rap Chance, but current Chano, yikes.

Chance sucks
This is Glover's best work

Chance does absolutely nothing for me. At some point I start to instinctively get turned off when an artist spits predominantly Christian lyrics, no matter how much I try to be open-minded.

nothin to do with the christian stuff
he just comes off like a cunt all too often and his songs have bookie production
