I understand what you mean, Jacob. Personally, I only resort to well I like it when all the chips are on the table and I want to make it clear I am not budging on my opinion.
Also, if you take Sam Dunn's arguments into account, Metal is something of a religious experience for people (between the very deliberate image and sonic checklist) and this causes people to, in a sense, put the blinders on and ignore others' opinions.

"Nobody seems to care about the artists behind the music, which can make reviewing heavier music an absolute bore-- because the origins of the music are really important to me, and yet I often feel I'm the only one that cares about them."
omaha, imma be honest, I really want to understand this but I have no idea what you're trying to say. please elaborate

I don't get the ''all the songs sound the same'' comments.
|
| |
Project, I meant that the origins of all this music lies in its creators, and I often prefer discussing them and their intent instead of describing the songs themselves.

@spec
Y so passive aggressive u on that estrogen///
@insurrection
Yeah the album probably would've been a lot better with more of a post hardcore drummer. Chris' parts were so straight forward it gave the album a more metally vibe.

Lol. LoG is trying to support PtH on Facebook... it's not going well. I had no idea LoG fans were such closed-minded dipshit white-trash metalheads. But the profile pictures and the comments accompanying them speak for themselves.
|

Yeah but LoG is still awesome. Totally agree with @Inserterection, if I counted the kick flutters in between guitar note I would be 70 by the time I was done. His drumming just felt so...... expected.
|

Who listens to Protest for drums though
|

It's here
|

Good point Omaha. Im reading the LoG thing on thier page, some of these ignorant motherfuckers called this band "Emo/Punk". Its pretty funny.
