Rolling Stone? The same magazine that said Iron Maiden were no longer relevant on their review of A Matter of Life and Death? Oh yeah, I'd trust anything they say.

Listen to Lou Reed and Metallica's 'Lulu', then see if that statement holds up.

We're on the same side. The overwhelming majority feel that album is poor, it's probably poor.

I was a tad aggressive and that was wrong.

We're guilty of it man. I was being a dick in the Palms band discussion just last week.

But I'd you played this music to the genuine majority of people who are 'knowledgeable' on music, they won't like it.

I meant specifically metal. Knowledgeable as in, they listen to bands in the genre quite a bit. I should have been more clear.

Parkway, still get a lot of good rankings and a LOT of good reviews - that doesn't mean it's objectively good.

I think it is a good indicator that it is. It comes down to trusting other's opinions. I have listened to the majority for reviews since I started listening to music. 9/10 times the majority share a similar view on the album.

And the breakdowns need to have less china

MOAR CHINA!

I don't know what china Matt used on this album but I have the one he used on Leveler. It's tough to not always want to hit that thing

Just shows that there IS such a thing as bad music in terms of composition, pacing, flow and general musicianship, so I rest my case.

Awesome review, stands in parallel with how much better this album is since ABR's latest outings.

The art direction on this album is pretty lame. It steered me away from this album, but the music does speak for itself.

I don't know dude, it's one of the most creative and animated looking pieces I've seen in a while, and this is coming from an animation and art graduate here. :P

Yeah I think the album art is fine, not as good as Constellations though for sure. I didn't like the band much at all then but I was sold instantly when I saw the artwork.
