"Rick Rubin is the most overrated producer ever"

Yeah, his recent stuff has been weak. But he did produced Reign In Blood.

They should have just self-produced this

It's a sad thing that all of the old band photographs on their site were cut purposely in order not to show Bill Ward. So what if all of them couldn't work it out for the reunion? No reason to pretend he wasn't an important part of their history.

Pretty sure Bill Ward requested that he not be part of their publicity after he left

Having now heard the bonus tracks I like this even more, such a fantastic comeback and easily the band's best in 30+ years.

Bonus tracks bring this up the special edition a little bit but it's still a 3 at most.

I just feel like this is a paint-by-numbers remake of the first two Sabbath albums. The only track that really stands out IMO is "God Is Dead" but I like a lot of other songs off this one, mainly "Zeitgeist" even if it is a blatant and shameless ripoff of "Planet Caravan."

they can't rip themselves off, that is the kind of music they make together

It's hard to explain how a band can be a rip-off of themselves but I agree with that on Zeitgeist. Still a pretty cool song though

It's definitely possible for a band to rip itself off
