Album Rating: 3.5 | Sound Off

Looking back this album would easily have a 3.7/3.8 avg rating if not for so many assholes rating it a 1 just because of the bands earlier reputation.

I hate how they didn't try to mix this sound more with the two releases before this.

Would of been so nice to combine the sound of songs like "Crucify Me, Suicide Season, and The Comedown with the electronics, atmosphere, and improved clean vocals from this.

The heavier tracks on here are a joke and Oli's harsh vox are at their worst.

This album was pretty good, but it was missing that edge that the two prior had. Plus the instrumentation was severely lacking

I dunno, I think this was their best release. It was pretty varied and it didn't feel forced most of the time. The post rock influence as well as electronic flourishes were dope. Oli's vocals in my mind are better here than they ever really have been since CYB. And it was able to be catchy without ripping off what prior bands in the genre had done.

I tend to look on this quite favourably cus it was among the first albums I listened to when I was getting into heavier stuff, can definitely hear the flaws in it now though

I think this band just gets a ton of hate for their name. The average of this album (as said on the prior page) would probably be around a 3.8, and There Is A Hell around a 3.5/3.6 as well. Even their earlier efforts don't really seem like sub 3 material imo. They definitely aren't amazing and but there's a ton of unnecessary hate.

its more that i think their popularity attracted a lot of people who were never gonna like this anyway

a lot of metalcore albums with less votes have higher averages simply because only core kids rate them
