Definitely Say Anything's worst album -- and no, Baseball wasn't my least favorite before this was released... I think I might be the only person on this site that loved Baseball. O:
Still, despite the fact this is a horrible album compared to the standards I've had for Say Anything, it's still a pretty solid album.
Sad that I didn't read anything about Sheep. I completely love that song, along with Peace Out; I do think Admit It Again is the most abhorrent song Max has ever written, though.

You know one thing that does both me on this album is how Max seemed to decide he liked making separate vocal takes really obvious, like them almost interrupting each other. It's okay sometimes, but I'm not sure why it happens as much as it does. Or maybe I just remember it happening more than it did, but I'm listening to "Sheep", and, great song, but, I just wonder why.

Wow, this band sucked your dick, and you can't even summon up the decency to be appreciative.

Did I ever hit the nail on the head with this album. This album initially sounds a bit different from their past releases, it's more layered in my opinion, but this album sounds a little different initially and Sputnik predictably trashes it. This album is still Coby and Max, as its always been, and after being in my car's cd player for a solid two weeks since its official release date, this album has become my favorite Say Anything album. 1-11, I love each and every track. I'm not quite ready to rate this album yet as I am stuck in the L's on my IPod, but trust me that when I do rate it, it will be a 4.0, regardless of my Sputnik objectivity. Elements of this album remind of their first record, their second and third releases as well, and this album progresses past their previous releases in my opinion. Let's get real, Say Anything is Max and Coby, and as long as those two are still making music together it's not going to be that different. Alex Kent didn't even write bass for the first album so get over it fanboy's.

So your in 9th grade now then huh? Too bad your opinion about anything in life doesn't count until at least 21, and from the
sounds of things, probably not even then for you.

i can't speak for anybody else but it has nothing to do with the album sounding "different". for me, it's the piss poor writing and lack of anything innovative or interesting. max really auto-piloted this

Piss poor writing? I guess we're all entitled to our own opinions.

I don't know how someone who writes all the guitar, bass, and lyrical parts for a band as big as Say Anything can auto-pilot something, but hey, maybe you know something I don't?

Well the flip side of you saying this is album is just piss poor writing by Max would be that I think it's some of his best.

Alright, Say Anything doesn't suck in this album, but Max Bemis sure did. Is that any better? I think so.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I think this is some of Say Anything's best work to date. This is my favorite album as I said.

so i decided to Youtube some shit off this, purely out of boredom. listened to Burn a Miracle, Say Anything, and Admit It Again.
Burn a Miracle was ehh, and Say Anything i actually kinda liked, but Admit It Again was just hilariously bad. lmao is he fucking serious with that shit? definitely one of the worst songs of the year so far.
