If the production wasn't so mechanical this could overtake Black Future as best Vektor.

And yeah, why change the cover art?

Really consistent band.

And that's twice as hard to pull off as not only a modern metal band, but a modern thrash metal band to boot.

This has it's highly enjoyable moments, the bookends in particular really get me going. Solid record. One slight negative is the vox, I feel like that maybe this was a transitional period because there are times where they bug me.

Terminal Redux doesn't suffer from this issue (in fact they're actually decent) & Black Future is more palatable in this department overall (if not overly impressive).

Eh really can't agree there, vocals on Terminal Redux are a huge step down from this and Black Future. Honestly sounds like he damaged his voice somewhere during those 5 years

Maybe he should stop screaming like a banshee then.

I don't know, whatever's happened I find the frequency of the 'high bits' (they're always high-ish I guess) much more palatable on TR. It might be the production rather than his actual vox, I just love the way that album sounds. The vox are the least important aspect of this band, I just want them to avoid being distractingly grating, which occasionally happens here.

Yeah I recall this album sounding a bit brittle and not very warm

The banshee is bizarrely less tolerable on this one Aiwaz, not sure why...

This has actually grown on me a fair bit now that I've got over the vox.
