Damnation isn't "sub-par mainstream ballade goth rock" and to say that is just stupid.

Firstly it can be easily argued that Windowpane is Opeths BEST song.

Secondly Martin Mendez's Bass sounds incredible.

Damnation is a great album.

This actually kind of sucks and I never thought I would ever say that in my life about this band. The fact that it's stripped down, 70s prog rock disgusts me even more, couldn't even imitate their influences very well.
