Yeah same. At least, it's the only one I remember.
But it's a 3?
|
| |
nvm that's pretty much the same with me and I can't remember any other songs
|

Personally, I've always made out 3/5 as a pretty low score. 60% is not really something to be proud of.
I never really liked how 3/5 means "good" on Sputnik. All the more reason to hope that regular users get the 0.1 increment ability.
|
| |
There are 4 increments below it though. 60% isn't that good but it's still good (it's actually more
like 50% cos there's 4 from 1 to 5).
I always start at 1.5 from the default and work up from there to, measuring how good something is
rather than how bad it is.
That's a little odd cos you have such a low average rating as it is.

I've listened to a lot of albums I've never ended up liking.
But speaking of this album, it isn't terrible at all but just forgettable.
|
| |
Same, but most people have pretty inflated ratings.
|
| |
I'm just thankful I'm not the only person who seems to give a lot of low scores.
|
| |
Haha, I hear you. I feel the same way.
|

It is the only Trivium album I dont have andI dont like to rate too many albums I dislike.

Album Rating: 3.5
if i don't like an album i tend to not listen to it anymore, and then i feel bad giving it a low score bc i feel like i haven't given it a fair chance yet. that being said, if i think something sucks really bad then i'll definitely give it a low score
|
| |
This really isnt terrible but by Trivium standards this is trash for the follw up Shogun release. This will be the same story on the new album too I suppose.

I know exactly what you mean. If I have a slight hunch that the album may get better after a few more listens, I keep it. If not, it's deleted.

i can't even get myself to delete stuff. i need to though, i just have too much shit these days.

I take ages to rate albums. Might listen to a couple of songs, then I'll leave it for a while before
coming back to give it a full listen (if I ever do). Then listen again a little while later, etc.
Before I finally decide I don't like it. So at any time I probably have about 5 new albums on the go
but I take ages to get through them and I don't like many of them anyway. I should probably make me
system more efficient, cos it's rare that I end up loving an album I initially didn't like at all.
I definitely need to go through and delete stuff but I always have that feeling that "what if I missed
something and one day I go back to it and love it". My 160gb ipod is full up.

Yeah i have that same ipod. Luckily it isn't full yet, but it will get there soon. I defintely am the same way in that it takes me forever to thoroughly "process" an album.
|
| |
I've been "checking" In the Court of the Crimson King out for a few months now, although I actually like it.
I think this is why I prefer shorter albums which are 9-10 tracks long, and EPs.
|
| |
I'm in the process of trimming the fat off of my itunes library. Mind you, this is stuff I've kept because I "liked" it, but despite that I'm deleting a hell of a lot of stuff.
But at the same time, twice as much new music comes on board. It's literally a never ending cycle.
