"generally favorable reviews" and if its something practically universally panned, it gets "mixed"
you know for not being a fan i have downloaded and listened to and found good their entire
discography, save for this.

^true...oh well. can't complain because most of my reviews are 3.5+, then the occasional 2.5 or 2 mixed in. Very rarely do I give something below a 2, I think I just see the good in music too easily

It just seems odd to me. Someone that clearly never actually really enjoyed any of the previous
records that much, coming out of nowhere writing virtually a hate letter about the band and caring so
little to actually talk about the record.
If I'm seeing too much into this, my apologies. But it screams to me that he went faster than any
other staff here just so he could have his say on this. Then again, I don't know how albums are picked
among staff members to be reviewed here.
