I agree, this os more contemplative than sad although I can see how someone can see the lyrical content ad being sad. "So now I am older...than my mother and father...when they had their daughter...what does that say about me?"



^^Sad + contemplative. Very pertinent for me at this time in life too.

you can also kinda tell from the lyrics that they're written by a man who's ready to move on. it doesn't matter tho, helplessness blues is still one of the best songs in recent times
