... and upon hearing it again this morning, this album is still one of my fave Ulver albums. So criminally overlooked/underappreciated. Poor sweetie of an album!
It combines everything from their post-Trilogie stuff: the electronic and trip-hop driven City-era, the loudness of Blood, the introspection and calm of Shadows, the classical influences of Messe, the drone of their latter live disks, the poppy nature of their most recent studio albums... and all of that in a short but sufficient 45 minutes!
