"Represents sputniks view, that is the point of this site, is it not?"
Well, for one you said 'everyone else' and left it undefined. Also, whether this is the point of this site is debatable as 'sense' is a matter of perspective.
And how a vote of a fraction is supposed to represent the view of the whole community.. Idk.
"my opinions are always correct."
sorry, had to balance what I was saying. also, Icwutudidtharr.
edit: nice edit, still too slow.

her dating habits have no impact on the quality of her music. only her horrendously shitty lyrics.

bro T Swift is more popular outside of Sputnik than inside.
and she's popular inside Sputnik.
truth is she just rules and everyone likes her music
except for the dudes too insecure about their masculinity and thus have to hate on kickass pop

her lyrics aren't even that bad idk what you're talking about
maybe on Red though, We Are blah blah and 22 have awful lyrics

"album rating 3.5. makes sense."
because only lyrics can make an album good
|
| |
You do realize that despite the (wrong) Freudian internet analyses and trying not to sound like a kid what you just said was basically an infantile "you either like this or you're wrong".
so yeah, to do the same as you: I'll have to respectfully disagree.

"her lyrics aren't even that bad idk what you're talking about

they're pretty painful. i imagine if she were still 16 or 17 and this were here first album it would be kind of adorable but now it's just like, do something different.
ugh 22 is terrible. only song i skipped on the album.

'lyrics matter. they can make or break music."
subjective opinion. i can ignore lyrical content if the music is good enough to make up for the pitfall.

over-extended puberty, hooray!
"subjective opinion. i can ignore lyrical content if the music is good enough to make up for the pitfall."
'tis true though. who cares about lyrics when listening to metal or partly even punk.
|
| |
because that's what her audience wants to hear, apparently. just like the metal audience wants to hear about satan, woods, grimness, coldness, pretentious emotional blah, gore and war.

i have it as a 3.5, not a 4.5 or 5. the lyrics are part of the reason it isn't higher.
|
| |
debatable. if you were to go by 'traditional writing criteria' like rhetorics a lot of artists are really awful at that.

"You do realize that despite the (wrong) Freudian internet analyses and trying not to sound like a kid what you just said was basically an infantile "you either like this or you're wrong". "
Was that intended at me?
1) I don't really care about your opinions on Taylor Swift enough to warrant such a nasty response. Calm your ass dude. That's not respectful
2) lol at the notion of me not trying to sound like a kid, as if I really give a fuck enough to "Try" not to sound like a kid to impress you
3) Wrong Freudian analysis? I come from the breed of teenagers too cool to like Taylor Swift. A lot of people who hate her shit do so because it's girly (obviously not true on Sputnik because we actually think music through) or whatever, or because they haven't given her music a chance and so haven't heard jams like "Enchanted" and "Haunted" which are leagues better than her big singles.

but the fact that she writes bad lyrics doesn't change the fact that everything else is appealing for the most part. at the end of the day lyrics

Btw I didn't mean to imply that everyone who dislikes Taylor Swift does so out of a misplaced sense of machismo, but rather that a lot do. It's easier to speak in generalizations and generalizations make for stronger arguments though.

Stronger pathos anyways, even if it hurts the logos naturally

"A lot of people who hate her shit do so because it's girly"
no. they hate it because it's childish, annoying, and vapid.
----
dude andcas you can be funny at times, even when talking about Taylor Swift
but don't be a fucking idiot
a lot of people hate it because they think it's girly, and they'd hate your beloved female artists for the same reason.
a lot of people meaning not everyone by definition
