Forum is a brilliant venue, I'll skip though because these guys are just average live. Sure they sound just like on record, but when I see someone live, I want a little extra!

Davey, its probably a medium sized venue. But definitely not 'Intimate.' I would have thought they'd play at the Corner
Hotel if they wanted an intimate show. I mean, that's what Karnivool did.

Big Day Out. They sounded awesome, and maybe it was the 45 degree heat late in the afternoon, but they sort of just stood there and did their stuff.

That BDO show was crap for their standards, I was really dissppointed by that set. They're normally much, much better than that.

I had no issues with their live show at Festering Hall.
It might just be a BDO thing as I thought Karnivool were inconsistent there the year before too.

I'll Youtube some tracks first to make sure I can get a feel for the guy's voice. There seems to be a lot of Australian bands that have slipped under my radar, actually.
By the way, Daveyboy, try listening to a few songs from this year's album from Hey Rosetta!, Seeds. There are a lot of good hooks and things that I believe you would go for. Knott recently wrote a review for it.
