I'd say his discog is half 4.5-5 territory, and half 3.5-4 territory. Obviously I'm much more partial to the aesthetics he dabbles in than you is. Anyway pls name another musician who is 1) as prolific and 2) more consistently excellent / creative. I'd actually love to know

That's what I meant when I said prolific, yo. Peter Gabriel isn't far behind. Can't comment on the consistency of Townsend's discog because I haven't heard much of it
