It’s not as good but people who like this should 100% check out Lost Time by 12 Rods

Never heard of them, I'll definitely check 'em out. Do they have similar progressive/math-y vibes to these guys?

I’ve never heard their debut. The gay? EP is beautiful drearyish maybe slightly gaze-y classic indie rock. Split Personalities is even more gaze-y with a “futuristic” production style/filter presiding over the whole thing, and is also excellent. The sportier and much maligned (and good) Separation Anxieties is spacey power pop produced by Todd Rundgren.
Their final album, 2002’s Lost Time, strikes me as more emo-y, louder, and the synth is huge—I just think people who like this would grok that album in particular. Unfortunately the last three songs are woof but it’s still at LEAST a 4 on the strength of like four or five of its best tracks

Nice, 12 rods' great. You were one of the users that reminded me of them when I first listened way way back lol. Gay ep is fucking amazing and should be more well known around here.

So glad to hear it, excellent band. Their self released debut is NOWHERE to be found; I highly recommend a rest-of-discog run
