true and true but really? to the point where it just seems egregious in the context of moving on without Chester? just seems like a slap in the face to the previous vocalist to me, and like sure I could see Chester looking down and being proud of them for having that attitude but also Emily of all people would make him raise an eyebrow imo

Shinoda should get a decent amount of credit for the early Linkin Park sound, he has always been the main songwriter

It's true that without Chester, the band could have never achieved even a modicum of the success they achieved with him, but I think it was a case of both Shinoda and Chester having good chemistry and bringing the best out of each other.

I don't think any of their individual output ever came close to having the same effect

Breaking the Habit bangs. One of the few nu metal bands I can dig (at least the first 2 records)

Breaking the Habit is for sure top 10, probably top 5. Not sure if it is my all time favourite but it honestly might be as well.

The instrumental track for Breaking the Habit brought me to tears after Chester died. The strings section is gorgeous.

Faint is my favorite LP song… and this is one of my favorite Bond movies. If this is a coincidence that’s wild but still very cool, if not it’s crazy that I didn’t know one of the most iconic rock songs of the century samples one of my favorite movies ever.

The pause in the bridge followed by "I WILL NEVER BEEEEEEEEEE" broke my young mind. Had that shit on non-stop repeat just to hear that bit over and over again.
