You think it'd be more my cup of tea? The thing I didn't like about Oceanic was that musically it just didn't seem to go anywhere in the long run- particular songs did, but others didn't stand out at all to me

Panopticon is the epitome of the genre. In my opinion, at least. But a lot of people probably think so too. The bulidups and climaxes are very strong, and it has some amazing melodies. Highly recommended if you want to get into Isis.

Thanks for the heads-up, guys. I'll spend some time with both this one and Panopticon soon!

Dude I had a effed up dream that somehow connected to the Isis albums. I'm not even sure how I got to the conclusion of it, but I know it was pretty apparent.

Wrote that shit in my dream journal you said I should start Graham. Cool shit.

One of the hottest nights ever recorded in Sydney since the 60s occurred the other night. This album put me to sleep after five hours of lying in stifling heat. It gave me weird dreams.

Always wanted to learn how to control astral planing, especially since I heard that maudlin of the Well supposedly lucid dreamed and astral-projected in order to compose the music for Bath.

Very funny, Riff...

Seriously, though, that's my personal favorite Neurosis song.

It's not their best album overall, but they certainly closed their careers with a fucking amazing song in Threshold of Transformation (the Melvins splt doesn't count b/c it's B-sides from this).
