what's your problem? I'm not flaming; the review is pretty well written, just because you disagree with the rating it doesn't make it a bad review. I hate new users who can't seem to grasp that.

I didn't bash the review because he disagrees with me, I bashed it because he said this:

I was between a 2 and a 2.5. I wanted to give it cred for being fun as hell at points but then I went to the metacritic page and cried and knew what I had to do.

That's bullshit. It's not his job to balance out everyone else's review because he doesn't like that a metal album other than Kayo Dot is so critically acclaimed. The only honest way to rate it is based on his opinion alone. And based on his review, it seemed like he thought the album was mediocre - not poor.

That seems to be one of the only metal bands he listens to. My point was that he doesn't like most metal.

Who cares if the review is well written? Any halfway competent writer can put together a piece that has enough sense of fluency, organization, and syntax. The point is the content, and the content in this review is wrong.

Saying the the content in the review is "wrong" was probably a poor word choice given the subjective nature of a review, but if the reviewer thinks that a reference to Celtic Frost within a Mastadon review is relevant in anyway whatsoever, then I would substitute the word ignorant.

Roach, I get that you don't like metal. It's not for everybody, and that's fine, but your lack of experience with the genre leaves you ill-equipped to defend this review. If you listened to more metal, you would probably understand how bizarre some of the references within this review are.

You're another idiot. I've listened to plenty of metal and still do - Converge, Botch, Melvins, High on Fire, maudlin of the Well, earlier Mastodon, Baroness, Slayer, Noothgrush, Harvey Milk, Pig Destroyer etc etc.
I'm sorry for not liking the more average bands in the game.
Anyway Greer always namedrops but idc it's still a good review and the kid saying the content of the review is wrong is clearly an absolute tool and resides somewhere in the area of beyond totally fucking stupid.
