This album is what makes me compare Metallica to the Danish rock band D-A-D. They sure took a big turn on this one. It's not nearly as good as it's predecessors.

Metallica's turning point into the mainstream. To be honest I was really disappointed back in 91 but I learned to like this album. The best songs here are Enter Sandman, Sad But True, The Unforgiven, Of Wolf & Man, My Friend of Misery and specially Wherever I May Roam.
An amazing production by Bob Rock.

James Hetfield looks like the Cowardly Lion
An amazing production by Bob Rock
production merits alone make this a 5/5.

Very good production, good songs but, like "Master of Puppets".....boring and overrated.
Megadeth did it far away better with "Countdown to Extinction" and "Youthanasia"!!!

James and Kirk harmonizing on that guitar solo...amazing. I can't believe it took them over 20 years to play that song live. It's so perfect.
