Yeah pg.lost are great. Actually it was one of the bands that finally got me interested in the whole post rock scene. Supposed to see them again on January but who knows with the current shitstorm

I find this to be more GYBE like tho

Maybe shades of skinny fists, but this definitely ain’t as bleak as Godspeed usually gets. Just adds a little more nuance to the crescendocore formula, but turns out a little nuance goes a hell of a long way

Yeah I meant like this is more on the "orchestral" side of postrock while I find pg.lost to be on the more "rocky" side like Russian Ciircles and likes. But still have to listen more to diiscover the nuances

Totally see you, then. Was coming at it from the ol’ “they more like God!speed or Explosions?” false dichotomy. Thanks for being part of the solution, gonna follow yer lead.

By the way, you had the chance to jam their follow up from a few years ago?

It’s definitely a bridge apart from this, quite a bit of vocal work, even (at least relative to this). Isn’t as fine tuned as this one is, but feels like a step further into developing a unique voice (that bent’s probably a testament to why this stands out from all the sound-alikes).

Golden Threads from the Sun off that one might be their best stand-alone song.

Similar vibes to this album.. what comes to mind for me is Giants - Old Stories.

I'm all about crescendocore when it comes to P/R. ef, giants, moonlit sailor, trees could talk all jams.
