Been throwing more DM (and similar styles) on a playlist lately and need more. This a good place to start with Nile? Never checked em outside of maybe one song I watched a drum cover of years ago lol

Edit: well, heck basically answered my question. Gonna have to spin this

Sweet, thank you. Definitely appreciate that. I've heard of all of them, but only ever actually HEARD some Bolt Thrower, Immolation, Pestilence, Suffocation, and Dying Fetus. But only a few tracks/maybe one album from each.

Erosion of Sanity rules face and From Wisdom to Hate has some of their coolest songs, but its marred by the production imo. Obscura is like schizophrenic metal on crack and to this day I cannot get into it. Might be your thing though.

oh yeah those are good ones too Jay, esp Cryptopsy.

of course I probably don't have to mention Death, Obituary, and Morbid Angel since they're the bands everyone knows, but they're all worth deep dives if you haven't already. Napalm Death, Terrorizer, and Misery Index for deathgrind as well.

also Entombed, Carnage, and Dismember for a swedeath starter pack

Yes, yes, and more yes to all of those. Insect Warfare and Pig Destroyer for some really brutal deathgrind too.

We got bands for days for you to check out lmao

DM is one of those genres I've never been in the mood for long enough for deep dives, but that seems to be changing lately so im going with it full force

Saving all these recs for when i can spin

Okay I surrender. You know more bands than I do, throwin in the towel there lol

That's pretty much every possible DM band worth checking if I'm not mistaken. Some outliers here and there that I can't think of atm, but yeah hope you enjoy at least one of em.
