Crysis, I'm surprised you don't like Opeth as much as I do (judging by your tastes in music).

IMO it gets way too repetitive way too fast.

What? And you listen to black metal? None of Opeth's songs are repetitive in any way. To each his own.

Yeah im on Crysis's side. I'm having a tough time with this album although Bleak and Harvest slay I just can't focus on the rest. I'll stick to Mercenary in the mean time. Just got Delieverance and haven't bothered listening to it yet, uhh. This Message Edited On 03.07.08

Yeah, this is better than Deliverance. But neither are Opeth's best.

Neither is Still Life, Damnation, MAYH, or Ghost Reveries, though

And the 'Best Opeth Album' debate continues........

I think one thing that general opeth fans can agree on is they have never put out crap.

Ghost Reveries wasn't crap but it wasn't very good compared to BwP.

Still Life owns the rest of Opeth's catalog imo.

Never heard any Opeth, then I saw this album in the store and picked it up.

Wow, is all I can say. They can synthesise heaviness and melody in a way that more straight-forward metal bands cant emulate, it's pretty insane.

If you don't like Opeth, people will show up at your house with pitch forks and torches. It's a tough choice ;)

AngelPhoenix,

Better get that rating up on this album before I storm through your front door with a pitch fork attached to my shotgun!
