Granted I'm not tech savvy even in the slightest whispers so I may just have to listen to them separately if the two of them synched together sounds bad

The rip i referred to isn't actually bad, it's just not quite as good as the normal one. Maybe try and find it in flac

i synced them together myself and they sound fine (if a bit brickwalled, obviously)

That might be what im hearing when i compare the two. Not really familiar with brickwalling at all although i get the general concept

Well this certainly doesn't disappoint so far! I especially love Absent but I still have to finish it. This one's atmosphere is massive.

I downloaded the two discs synced up a while ago. Recently I have deleted it and stopped listening to it because it's just a bit too much going on at once, my brain can't compute it. I think the syncing up trick is something they did for an awesome now-and-then surround experience, but it isn't the way the album should be listened to in stereo. If it was the way they wanted the album to be heard in stereo they would have just made one disc and included the ambience as part of the tracks themselves, rather than giving 99% of their audience a watered-down version of their album.

Absent is absolutely stunning.

@Minty so just listen to the first 5 songs. It'll probably be a better experience for you. I've been told it rules either way so.

Yeah, this album is great on its own but it's fucking insane with both discs mixed together.

This one drags quite a bit at times but it definitely has the best atmosphere out of them all.
