yeah while this is still a great album and easily the best aphex there were a lot of acts doing

similar things around this time



the only reason people call it classic is because aphex twin fans usually dont really know anything

but what i mean isnt all inclusive, so let me explain because it comes off as a little snobbish



aphex twin is extremely popular, but its mostly because of his newer stuff. because of that a good

portion of his fans just kind of like him and never really delve deeper into the genre, especially

when it comes to dated sounds like this and the other stuff coming out at the same time. so of

course, they make the claim that this is "the best of all time" or something along those lines when

its not necessarily warranted.



no doubt this album is very good and influential, but i dont really think its the classic it gets

credit for.
