MAYH and Still Life are much more cohesive than this. Agreed about this blending both their styles the best though

There is a group on the site that thinks this is their best, but I believe it's smaller than the SL, BWP and MAYH clubs.

BWP and MAYH are best
you made me do it guys!

I was a part of the MAYH club for a few years, but this album is nearly transcendent for me.
It just fucking clicks.

yeah i'd say still life is their most "cohesive"

I used to be in the BWP club, but proper jamming made me desert.
Not gonna talk about which club I'm in, since nobody really cares anyway.

all Opeth rules expect Deliverance and Heritage anyway so

I think people who like Blackwater Park the most are in the minority here now. It's their biggest album and the one everyone hears first, but those who dive into the rest of their catalog eventually find out that it isn't their best. It's a good album, if a tad sterile compared to some of their other works.

Transcend into fans of overproduced metal. This is at its middle core a Porcupine Tree album with Mikael Akerfeldt on the mic.
