I mean that they're being overrated on here, and then you'll get the inevitable backlash of people who wont acknowledge decent music because of it being "overrated".

I've have just bought this. I've just reached track three and am finding it quite refreshing after listening to hours of DT, kalmah, in flames, amon amarth, CoB & Opeth. I needed a break from Scandanavia I guess. . . I got distracted and have now reached track 7. I dunno but the only track I didn't like much was "lust before the etc" & that seemed to attract the most attention in this thread. Oh the humanity was pretty awesome. . . so far so good.

Lust Before The Maggots Conquest was the best song on the album to me. Why don't you like it?

Anglachel: I relistened to LBtMC - of course my comment above was based on one listen - it's certainly better than my first thoughts - but I also know what put me off - its that opening riff which recurs four times in the first 20 seconds, I just didn't like it much - at about 36 and 42 seconds it occurs again - but then at this point, reluctant as I am to admit it - there is a really cool section with awesome riffing (specifically I'm referring to about 48 sec to 1 minute 10 seconds -which also repeats later in the song). And then the song pretty much shreds from them on. It looks like I may have to revise my view. I have now listened to LBtMC four times and the rest of the album only once - really bizarre when you consider I didn't like LBtMC on first listen!!

This whole album is basically that one overly brutal part of "A Diamond for Disease" right before the song kicks in. It's good in small amounts, but not for nine songs.

This album is great, but it's not really as good as the rest of their albums.

Ick. I don't like Melo-Death, but is this worth a try?

Get ADFD EP or A Celebration of Guilt. They're both way better than this.

Yes seriously, A Diamond for Disease is a classic if it wasn't for the short length, and this album is just a dissappointment.

This is a very sexy album and those who think other wise aren't very sexy.
