Spreading the Disease is in my opinion their second best record just after Among the Living.

A.I.R, Madhouse, Armed and Dangerous, Medusa and specially Gung-Ho are absolute Thrash classics!!

Joey doesn't sing falsetto. He sings with mixed voice like most other singers in metal. His voice is just cleaner than most other singers. King Diamond might use falsetto, but I think it's head voice. ¬_¬

Less of a homage to primary influences (I.e. their debut album) and more focussed on well-written songs, this album took thrash metal to a whole new level. Ideally, it was the same year in which the extremely satanic 'Hell awaits' and equally as raw and undiluted thrash formula of megadeth's debut, so three of the big four were already something to behold in 1985 (Metallica having already found their feet on a progressive metal ground with 'Ride the lightning'.) What anthrax have here is a wonderfully talented vocalist, and an equally as talented back-up band. Not quite as heavy as their then-future releases, but that's probably just down to production. Also, i cannot wait to see this band next month at hammerfest:D
