every he is legend album is great, it sucks that tragic hero fucked these guys over with it hates you. it was pretty great but they hardly promoted it at all and it flew completely under the radar.

Agreed. It's crazy how much more I like this album then I did back when I first heard it years ago. For some reason Croom's voice on this used to annoy the shit out of me but now I love it. I think the smokiness is so perfect and totally compliments his lyrical style. He sounds so much more confident and almost wiser and I think it really makes his narratives that much stronger.
Musically people always say this is SO much more southern rock influenced but I really disagree. This is still very similar musically to I Am Hollywood, just darker and heavier. Sure, there is a bit more of a southern tinge but I think it's totally over-exaggerated.
