He can't be taken too seriously on metal.

"He can't be taken too seriously on metal"
This, as he even said on his Metal Archives profile that he hates metal.
|
| |
His negative review for Sabbath's Vol. 4 is blasphemy.

Agreed, and his review summary of "This is what happens when a band releases four albums in three years" or something along those lines is ridiculous. How the hell does he explain Frank Zappa then?

Go Listen to St Anger. Or Annihilator's Metal album.

So I just read all the comments, I know, I know, terrible idea.
First off, rando insulting Point of Entry, fuck you. Point of Entry easily stands its ground among the likes of its predecessors, British Steel, and its successor, Screaming for Vengeance, and easily stands above the likes of Defenders of the Faith.
Second, how does anyone think that the first two songs on Jugulator are unbearable when they've listened to this album? Demolition is simply bad in comparison to the entire album of Jugulator. Listen to "Cathedral Spires". It's really the only Ripper song worthy of a Halford version.
Finally, in defense of Tim Owens, while I'd much rather have my Priest with Halford, if anything were to happen to Rob, Ripper would be my first choice. He's a damn fine replacement, and he's got a great range. Not as amazing as Halford, but good enough.
And just like with Point of Entry, fuck you the guy who said Metal by Annihilator in the same breath as such a piece of dogshit garbage as St. Anger.

"It seems as though I myself do not agree with the "general opinion" of too many albums, if such a thing exists."
What a sentence
|
| |
What did I just read
And why
|
| |
That opening sentence is nuts, holy moly hahaha
|
| |
Lol point of entry obviously has cuts that riff harder than freewheel burning
Obviously
|

headin' out to the highway goes hard bro

Owens is actually the least bad part of this tragedy.

I enjoy Hell is Home, actually. It's got a cool, creepy vibe and Owens gives a charismatic performance on it.
