Only the last half of the title track could really merit orgasams.

Sorry.

Just awesome. This is my 3rd BS album, and I'm gonna keep getting more. They don't disappoint.

Do I even need to give background here? Few enough artists have achieved this kind of level of fame. Hendrix, Elvis, The Beatles, Miles Davis, maybe a few others. Everyone and their dog at least knows of Black Sabbath.

even though i love this band and this album because they are the best i have to disagree here. sabbath isn't nearly as well known as the other examples you gave. i think we metalheads forget that non-metalheads really never did and still don't give a piss about what these guys did.

I love this album, but it is isn't the best Sabbath album. It's brilliant for being the first though, and however much I hate the songs Evil Woman and The Wizard, the song Black Sabbath is probably my absolute favourite sabbath song. It is just so atmospheric and doomy, and just soo heavy. Sabbath rule.

Absolutely one of the finest albums ever recorded. It's a shame that they lost their blues roots so quickly. "The Wizard" and "Evil Woman" are two of Black Sabbath's best.

Wouldn't want to listen to the Title track alone in a dark room!
Oh wait, I did. Scary and heavy. Classic Sabbath

its hard to believe that theoretically, the "first" metal song ever released is still considered so heavy today

its quite awesome if you think about how heavy it must have been back then

i wouldn't really consider it heavy, compared to modern day metal.

Good review, this album is a total classic. By the way, N.I.B´s intro is Geezer´s bass distorted with some wah, not the guitar
