If this EP only consisted of Sorry Laid The Hearth, my rating would be bumped a bit. I don't care much about the rest (it's good though).

Now I really wish they were just doing their own headlining set. I’d absolutely pay to see them play both of these tracks… but I just saw them last year and it’s a bunch of tracks they already played along with Hunter. ehh

They're joining the Turnover tour with Trauma Ray and Nothing briefly in December. Personally I think all 3 bands should be on tour together with Deafheaven headlining it, it's bullshit that they aren't headlining right now given how good they are right now.

I'm in awe at how gnarly this is. Loved the last album too but I didn't think they had *this* in them.

Ya this is incredible, but I feel like the last track ends a little abruptly? It sounds like it’s gonna fade a little longer but it just kinda stops… insane song but I was kinda thrown by that.

These guys are not really my thing, outside of a few tracks I enjoy. Might try this regardless.

This is, indeed, a ripper. I believe Daniel Tracy has cited Trym of Emperor as an influence and that comparison makes a lot of sense here. I love the nearly death metal growl on Hearth.
Band can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned, I’ll stan Infinite Granite any day of the week.

Same. Blackgaze in general loses me a lot of the time but this EP is sweet.

I mean this EP is everything but blackgaze

Is why I dig it more!

they’ve evolved way past blackgaze. like sure the last album is underpinned by it but is also entirely different with more unique influences compared to sunbather. def don’t know any other albums that sound like lonely people with power.

next album should go more into Incidental II death industrial and just be Altar of Plagues.
